Armand Bayou Nature Center (ABNC) is one of the largest urban wilderness preserves in the United States. ABNC contains more than 2,000 natural wetlands forest, prairie and marsh habitats that were once abundant in the Houston/Galveston area. The Nature Center is home to over 370 species of birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians, as well as the restored historic 1890's Martyn Farm home and farm buildings. It also offers hiking trails, exhibits, field trips, Scout programs, and more!
